I definitely agree about the challenges of Coal based power plants. Government of Gujarat has recently announced for industrial and domestic roof top solar power plants and give costing. If the industry has enough roof top area and capital, industries are planning for solar based PV power plants where the load is non-continuous nature. Even the solar inclination angle in south facing is required if the autocontrol is not envisaged. With the invertors and proper design of batteries, solar roof top plants are beneficial . A 1 MW plant needs investment of Rs 3cr or so depending on the type of invertors bought. In India the solar power plant future is brightening day by day.
Many vendors provide AMC after installation..
